• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

If so.. how does it feed? Ive read in a few places that people have problems with feeding the AI cartridge in some rifles.

Ive got a 75 varmint 22-250 looking to get it reamed out and Improved.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

Feeding an AI cartridge can always present issues depending on the rifle. I haven't heard of any particular problems with the L579 or AII, but the 75 with it's DBM could be a different case altogether. I would recommend you find someone with a 22-250AI & obtain some dummy rounds & try them before you set your barrel back & rechamber. You will be able to cycle them far enough into the chamber to determine if they will work or not. AI's give "improved" ballistic results that vary quite a bit depending on the case you are "improving". Without a 26" barrel you may be disappointed in the real world "improvement". It's about like making a 22-250 into a 220 Swift. Regardless, the "improvement" is fairly negligible with the 22-250 & I doubt whatever you are shooting will notice the difference. It will also be a detriment to the resale value. As the 75's are maturing in the market place that is something to consider, as it wouldn't surprise me if the 75's start to show increased value. Whichever way you go, Good Luck!

Hi, ive heard the main problems with the AI case in the 75 is that the 3 lug bolt fouls on the sharp shoulder when pulling the bolt back.

Im probably not going to worry about it now.
Yes the 75 is the pick of the newer generation sakos, they still fetch a pretty penny, much better rifle than the 85. Better stock, longer magazine to name a couple of things
