• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

A7 20 MOA BASE AND RINGS

So hopefully I don't receive the firing squad for asking this question. I'm new to this forum and a new owner of a A7 and after reading some of the post I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing now. This will be my primary elk rifle for the northern Arizona mountains.

I have used the searched function for answers but it's difficult to find the answers through a million posts or the answers that apply directly to my questions. So with that being said... I'm looking for 20 moa scope base and 30 mm scope rings options and suggestions that will give me the best fit and function. I'll be using a Vortex pst 6x24x50 scope.

Any suggestions and your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Joe

Looks like Talley makes 20 MOA picatinny rail for the A7. No idea about fit and function of their products.

What ever you end up using make sure you secure the rail/bases with glue like loctite 638. I firmly believe that 4 flimsy 6-48 screws will not hold any scope on their own.

OK thanks, I seen Talley but wasn't sure about their quality.
I asked beretta and they told me it uses the same scope rings as the browning A-bolt rifle. I guess I'll search for rings and a 20 moa base using this information.
I was just hoping to find out what other A7 owners were using for their scope setups...

I have the Talley lightweight rings on my A7 and love them ! I am too searching for 20MOA options, and it seems only thing available is a picatinny rail, which I don't want to go that route

I asked Talley for the lightweight 20 MOA rings and told me they don't make them

The A7 uses the Browning A Bolt 2 piece bases, but i dont think that an A Bolt one piece base will work because the spacing between them is different.
