Unusual Sako rings

There is an Australian seller listing 2 sets of Sako 1" ring mounts, high, on Used Guns.
The first set has the usual small round hole below the scope ring , the second set does not have that hole, which I've never seen before (or never noticed).
Anyone seen them before?

Sako drilled the hole as a weight saving feature, so I would think the ringmounts without the hole are very early specimens. I have never seen such examples. Thanks for sharing them with us!!

I have the holes in my rings with my 7x33, early L46 with 1"red-dot scope. The hole acts as a ghost-ring aperture for my front sight and my daughter can smash clay pigeons on the sandbank at 100 yards, interchangeably! It is a mazing. I will have to post a pic.
