Most phones and other digital cameras take VERY large photos these days (large number of pixels.) The forum will only display them in a much smaller format, but the large photos are very slow to upload and download (and my use up enough server space eventually to cause problems for our host server).
Please resize your photos before posting to a maximum of about 1040 pixel width or better, 800. This size will still show plenty of detail and will upload much more quickly. If you don't know how to resize them on your computer you can send them to a cloud photo storage place (like Postimage.org) where they can be automatically resized as you upload them.
