• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Had To Get One, Arctic

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

I’ve always thought they were attractive everything but the sticker price. Looking forward to your range report.

I have looked at them every time Euro-Optic list one: so far I have been able to resist the calling. Maybe if they were in 30-06. Wayne

What is the purpose of the strange-looking and very high scope mount?
Cantilever style. Typically seen on an AR platform, related to eye relief. Or -
to which if the optic fails the operator can remove it and rely on a flip up iron, or irons. Sometimes the AR will already have a fixed front. Obviously it will work on bolt rifles with a rail as well. Looks like it was chosen to clear the high iron on the Tikka.

Yes, I usually mount all of my scopes as close to the barrel as possible. But in this case I did want to mount above the rear site, and it just clears by millimeters, and I needed the option to be able to take off the scope and mount, so I would able to use the iron sites.

The scope I added to no avail though, because I don't plan to shoot it, I picked it up just to add to the collection.
