• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Hi all I'm a new member thank you for having me. I just bought a sako 75 hunter in 25 06 can't wait to get it up and running

My first sako was a 75 hunter 25-06. Bought it new in 1999. I've accumulated several great Sako hunting rifles since then, but always find myself reaching for that rifle come deer season. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have. I'm not a re-loader but have found that mine responds best to 117gr federal premiums. Good luck and welcome to the forum

Thank you dustinga .
I had the rifle out and zeroed in its very accurate with 117grain federal 1/2moa could not believe it. Didn't like 120grain 1"1/4 group.

I experienced the exact same thing. The 120s just didn't perform as well. I let my gunsmith play around with some handloads and he was one holing three shots at 100yds with a 115gr Barnes hollow point. I took a couple nice whitetail bucks with that load, but never got a pass through. Got nervous when I had trouble finding a really nice 8pt that just didn't bleed.
