• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Long time Sako owner always looking to learn more about them.

Recently picked up a Sako AI in .223 that has really crazy nice wood grain in the straight stock, a slightly different color wood grip cap and checkering all the way around the forend.
I think it might be a classic model, not sure. Not sure how common they are.

Also recently acquired a P94 Range, what a gem to shoot!

Howdy Wilk, welcome. Show us some pix! Sounds like your classic is a beauty. Pretty rare in the AI's.

Believe it is an original classic stock. It appears correct including the checkering, grip cap, and the thin red pad. Great figure. Agree with gowyo, low numbers in the A1 configuration. Great find

Nice find! Looks real glossy. Good find. I have a classic in 243 but it is more of a satin finish.

Fantastic wood! I just dropped out of the bidding on a similar gun, in part because the wood was nice but not spectacular. If the one I was bidding on had looked like that, I'd have been in it to the bitter end,

And I agree with the others, it's a factory Sako Classic.

Thanks, ya I'm very happy with it, haven't had time to shoot it yet but looking forward to it.
When I saw the pics of it for sale I thought it was a classic but when I got my hands on it, I knew it was.
