• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

The Impossible Happens - A Positive New York Times Story About Hunting

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

I would like to read the article but I'm not giving the New York Slime any of my info.
What info are they asking for? Do they want you to create a login? I don't see what you see because I am a subscriber and have automatic access to the entire website.

Yeah me too, asking to log in.
Sooner or later they may use that story as an “ anti hunting” intro.
That’s the way they operate, I give them nothing,..... and I think the word “ slime” is being too kind to them and their ilk!!!!!

Plus, I have three different emails for just this reason but every time I give one out to scum like this I get loaded with junk and spam emails right back. Don't play that game much any more.

I tried to upload the story in webarchive format, but the Forum server wouldn't accept the webarchive format.

I thought the link I posted was an open link that didn't require a login. I'll look into it when I have time.

I checked CVC's link and it is good.

I saw the story on facebook's newsfeed. I was a bit surprised when I saw the ''sponsor".

It is a very good article.
As for myself, I would rather not hunt, but will do so if I have to.

I have the opportunity to hunt from my shooting bench almost every day.
