• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Of course. Ok that makes sense. I figured the only difference in premium factory ammo and standard factory ammo was the projectiles. For example the ballistics for federal premium 180 partitions are the same as 180 gr federal classic hi shock. Acording federals ballistics chart. Federal hi...

    L61R 30-06 accuracy

I figured the age of the rifle had something to do with it. The weather conditions were perfect, but I'm definitely not. My shooting techniques may have something to do with it as well, but when the rifle discharged the crosshairs felt good on target with no flinching. The rifle has done its job...

Well, never claimed to be a marksman and I'm not a long range hunter. I have made some long shots. I guess 400 isn't really spectacular to some people, and I've only made two or three long shots over 400 in my life. To be honest I dont really like shooting at Animals over 250 to 300. 90% of my...

While I've owned my Finnbear. I've made some spectacular shots hunting. This isn't me boasting again. This is from the praise I've got from hunting partners telling me they were great 400yd plus shots. I also shoot at paper quite a bit. Today I was shooting Federal premium 165gr ballistic tips...

That's a bummer about no chambering in .358 Norma. But I have seen a couple L61R .358's that were already sold at auctions. Are they custom barreled Finnbears maybe?

I've been hunting for my second bear and it's been raining pretty much since the season opened on Oct 25. I wipe my rifle down after every day of wet hunting and give it a minute shot of royal purple down the bore after the rifle drys to room temperature. I noticed last time I cleaned it after...

The only two cents have about your Luger is regardless what you decide to to with, it. That thing is bad ass!!! The grips are a little ugly though. But heck you can have any type of grip you want made. I did for my S&W 629 classic...

The biggest reason I was curious about there value is because when people see them and recognize what make Rifles they are and there age, they practically get on there knees with worship asking what they are worth in value and I never had a good answer other than " I dont know as far as market...

I definitely understand they are not the same with different face diameters and definitely not interchangeable. I just thought they were the same design until the third locking lug on the .338 was pointed out. Thanks though...

Very good point. But like I said earlier. I didn't put the Mcmillians on the rifles to spruce them up and make them look better. Who in there right mind would think Black fiberglass looks better than those beautiful blond European walnut factory stocks. I put them on for two reasons. The biggest...

Awesome! Great Info guys! Thanks again to all of you. Sounds like both metal and wood finishes on my Rifles with stay original then. The .338 is emaculate anyway but as hard As I try to keep both firearms clean and sexy, the ol 06 is starting to showing some age. But the seasons and harsh...

Ok, the .338 dose have the third locking lug. Totally obvious because the 06 dosen't. The bolt off the .338 rifle also has a three digit number etched into the underside of the bolt handle. Two things I've never noticed. Always thought both bolt were the same. I mean I know they are not...
