• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

    Stoeger M591 in 243

I bought a nearly unused one, that came with it's original box. Took it to the range monday, and as expected dead on accurate. So far as I know you wont go wrong on the accuracy with the caliber as long as you stay away from the heavier and longer lead free bullets. And for the price mentioned...

    New Sako M591 -243 win

Finally I was able to find a pretty nice M591 in 243 win. Maybe not the most sought after model, but as for me I just love the action and the accuracy for this caliber. 243 Win is not that popular in Norway. since it's only leagal on game up to the size of roe deer.

Finnwolf VL63 Testing the peep sight

For this particular round I waited 3-5 minutes between the shots, just to try to keep the spread closer. It I just love the accuracy on this gun. But the barrel need to be at a ok temperature (as all hunting rifles I guess) to get the last shots where you aim. For 3 rounds shooting this wont ba...

Finnwolf VL63 Testing the peep sight

Bench shooting with the newly mounted peep sight. 100 meters on Electronics This ended up as the best round. And I’m more than satisfied with the result. I notised that after 8 shots the spread started to increase. So i had to wait for the barrel to cool down a bit. A total of 65 bullets...

    Advise - 375 H&H in AIV, AV or 75

Unfortunatly did I not get the AIV. And the price was a steal. 1500 USD There was another person who had the permit ready, while I still need to wait for mine. But then I will try to get the AV one, if he wont get any bids for it. Price around 1250 USD. The only thing with this one is that I...

    Advise - 375 H&H in AIV, AV or 75

You are so right. Even without the covid we would have been waiting 8 - 10 weeks. In this computer based world it's a rediculous long time. We're all in the system, and they know what we have. If you're not a registred collector, and just a hunter like me I only can have 6 rifles. They will open...

    Advise - 375 H&H in AIV, AV or 75

Thank you for your advice. Then I'll try to request the IV. Luckily my carrying permit application was sent in two weeks ago, so then it's only 11 more weeks to go before I actually can call it mine:)

    Advise - 375 H&H in AIV, AV or 75

I have no real experience with the 375 H&H, but have the chance to buy one. At the moment there are 3 rifles offered at nearly the same price, and in 3 different models. AIV, AV and a 75. Will the difference be noticable when it comes to accuracy and comfort? Any advice is welcome.

Finnwolf VL63 History and just thinking of selling Finnwolf 243 win.

That is a true beauty. You will regret selling it. It shoots like a dream. And at the range it will draw a lot of attention. Not many remember that Sako made lever actions.

    Finnwolf VL63 Peep sight

No, it's one of the 4 shot versions that don't have any holes on the barrel. But thank you for your offer. When I got it it only had the an old scope and the original Sako scope mount. The front sight was luckily there with the sight cover still in place. So maybe I just should keep it as is...

    Finnwolf VL63 Peep sight

    Finnwolf VL63 Peep sight

Hi! I Wonder if any one of you know if it is ok to use any of the old Sako peep sights for my Finnwolf. Today I have used an old safariscope with original old Sako scope mounts, when hunting deer. But I will retire it from hunting since it’s still is in good condition, and I want to shelter...

SAKO VL63 308 win and SAKO VII 308 win

Yes, 308 is very popular in Norway. 30-06 and 6.5x55 are still ahead. But 308's popularity is rising. Specially among first time hunters it's a great caliber to start with. Recoil is not bad, and the price on hunting ammunition is ok. And for the game we have here it's an good all round caliber
