Had a bit of extra "mad money" when I went to a gun auction couple of weeks ago.... came home with this Sako AIII in 7 mm Rem Mag with a Nikon Monarch scope on it also.

Very nice condition and looks to have been shot very little.

Have been eyeballing more.... the sickness spreads fast!

    Welcome Cam,

Beautiful stock! That’s a killer rifle - bets it’s a true to SAKO - tack driver!!

    Enjoy!

Now that is some seriously nice wood. The wood looks like it would go on a Classic but the stock shape is definitely a standard grade. I do believe that's the best wood I've ever seen on a standard grade A series.

    Thanks much for the compliments!

I went to the auction knowing this Sako was there but when I saw the wood...I was done for.

The trigger had been set fairly heavy but she still managed to shoot MOA when I first took it out.

Have adjusted the weight down but we are in this nasty artic polar air (-12 this morning) and I don't want to freeze off anything vital...
