And sometimes I miss remembering.
At least I can still remember when I could remember.
Several of us could run for President!!!
Observations..........on subject 317P(Presentation) rifle.
"Ultragon" barrels had polygonal bores of 0.224" diameter only.
H&R did not supply 317 rifles with sling swivel studs....nor were they an available option.
The stock seems to have been polished......and some of the white polishing compound appears to have been left in the left side grip panel carvings.
Multiple areas of the stock show crazing/cracking of the factory epoxy(FullerPlast) finish......a common malady, sometimes found on these rifles and those by O'Brien and Winslow. Maybe the reason the stock was polished.
The O'Brien Rifle Company never produced a 17/222 or 17/223......just the 17MachIV, 17 Javelina, and 17 Magnum.
Again......just MY opinions.
