This is a question for the gun smith guys who know.
My ol’ L46 has a touch of creep. It’s a .222 and it’s old as hell. Lol! It’s a consistent creep, as it reacts the same each time I pull the trigger. I’ve actually gotten used to letting off as I feel it, re-setting myself, then it breaks perfectly! I know it’s not how it should be. My other 46’s break like glass rods.
Looking at the trigger, all I can see is the travel and locking screw post.
What should I or can I do to to alleviate this ? A pictorial would be groovy!

The Sako L46 trigger is an exact copy of the Winchester Model 70 trigger. Creep in that trigger usually takes a combination of polishing the sear surfaces & adjusting the sear engagement. Sometimes you have to actually increase weight of pull after making these adjustments. Just get on line & search how to adjust the Win Model 70 trigger & use good common sense & you should be fine.

    Sweet!
After a short study, I managed to get it done. More of the 70 year old crud and fouling. Didn’t really need any adjustment. Using some solvent and a brush, and some paper strips for a very slight polishing. I thought of 2000 grit , but didn’t trust myself to use it. put it all back together clean and lubed… no creep!
    Thanks!

So you mean if I clean out all of my crud and fouling I won’t be such a creep?

No, that’s not what I meant.
You can always give it a try, even if it just helps to make you less creepy! o_O
