• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I have enjoyed the Sako rifle pics on this forum so I thought I would share my collection. I picked all these up over time with the intention to use them hunting.
From top:
Sako M74 Super 30-06. Harvested 8 point whitetail last fall.
Sako Finnwolf .308. Came with a butt pad but it will be used in the field so actually a small plus for me.
Sako Golden Deluxe 7mm #470 of 1000. Was going to be my first and only Sako but then learned it was a collectors item.
Sako AIII Mannlicher 30-06. Was going to be my second and only Sako hunting rifle until I came down with the Sako bug.
Sako L579 Mannlicher .308 (Will use for still and brush hunting)
Sako L579 Deluxe .308 Very light weight. Perfect mountain rifle. A few dings so no need to feel anxious taking it out.
Parker Hale 1200 .243 (Darn photobomb)

Very nice! Which floorplate engraving does your .308 Deluxe have?

Deer in the pines.
Very cool !
With a bit of rubbing with gun oil or “Flitz” polish compound, you can bring the gold hue back on the early bold engravings. It will actually come off with just your thumb and some elbow grease.
Pretty neat old Forester..thanks for sharing.
