Gentlemen,
A little help with dating my sako.
I purchased this shooting iron back in Massachusetts around 1976. I was 16 at the time. Saved up my money doing summer work. Was going deer hunting in Vermont with my dad, older brother. Basically going to hunting camp. Paid $ 125.00 for the rifle. It’s a L579 with the lion head and the M. 41812 SN. It is a colts man in cal .308. Can anyone help me on dating this rifle. It is in beautiful condition. Shooting a 168G HPBT, I can put 3 in a nickel at 100 yards.
