• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

No Beretta did not give any reason they just sent a new rifle. I will update how the rings work soon. The plan is to go to the range on Sunday.

Misaligned scope mount dovetails on new Sako 85 Finnlights

Sako sent me a new rifle. However, the problem is still there. It takes 40 (110 available) and 52 clicks of elevation (93 available) to boresight it. I got rid of the optilock rings and got some Burris bases and Signature Rings which have plastic inserts for the rings like the optilocks but...

Misaligned scope mount dovetails on new Sako 85 Finnlights

Update on my Sako Mod 85 270WSM Finnlight w/severe scope mount issue. Beretta had the Gunsmith mount the Swaro scope on 2 other Sako Rifles to confirm for them that the scope wasnt the issue (even though 4 scopes had the problem on my rifle), I guess it is part of due diligence on the...

Misaligned scope mount dovetails on new Sako 85 Finnlights

Guys, Thanks for the info and help. I am waiting to see what happens with Beretta. At this point all options are on the table, up to and including selling the rifle. The scope, which I really like has 90 clicks of adjustment above and 90 below for elevation. I need to get it zeroed and have...

Misaligned scope mount dovetails on new Sako 85 Finnlights

David, I have a 270wsm. I will let you know how the gunsmith makes out as I only found all of this out yesterday. I had always had trouble with the scope I was using and thought it was just me. My son gave me grief on a regular basis about how much time it took me to get comfortable behind...

Misaligned scope mount dovetails on new Sako 85 Finnlights

All, I just upgraded my scope to a Swarovski on my Mod. 85 Finnlight (rifle purchased in 2010) and have the same problem as this thread. The Gunsmith is a Beretta and Swaro dealer and could not believe that boresighting used virtually all of the elevation adjustment, which is no good as I had a...
