• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Super Deluxe With A Different Look

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

Wow Rocky. That is one classy rifle. I love it! Please put me first to call if you ever decide to part with it. Nice, Nice, Nice!!

Fantastic, a unicorn.
The oak leaf carvings differ from the ones I’ve seen in other calibers.
A tip of the hat to you, sir!

Yes, very different from all of the other Super D's I've seen. And, in a rather scarce caliber, at that! Great find. If we had an emoji for envy I'd place it here.

Note that Sako continued to use the "L579" designation on the box and hang tag even long after changing the action designation to A-II.

This Sako I think is probably the nicest as far as wood and finish that I have. It's really a gorgeous rifle.

I'm attending the SHOT Show in Vegas this year so I'm planning to stop by the Sako Booth and ask them more about this type of Super Deluxe.

Unfortunately, they won't have a clue. The Beretta USA reps at the SHOT show probably can't even tell you the models of anything prior to the Model 75 -- and that will be but a faint memory of times past to them. But do report to us what you find when you visit with them.

Congrats on a fine rifle. Much more tastefully done than older SDs. That is the first late model AII SD that I've seen.

Too pretty to hunt with! [emoji7]

No Shot Show report, and I'm bummed about it. I've had my airline tickets and room reservation since last May but had to cancel all just this week.

The guy that I was using to get in to the show ended up not going, so that canceled everything. So now, maybe next year.

And Misako, your right. Alot of the vendors I heard were dropping out because of the Covid thing.
