• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Well, a trophy is in the eye of the beholder. Finally
connected on what is probably the oldest buck we've
harvested, guesstimate 15 yo+. Was on harvest list &
8 pt last year.
Has every post-mature sign of discoloration behind
shoulder, multiple wrinkles on base of ear, only 1
incisor left. Wish I'd made a better shot as thick fog
& little low so trailed in thick thorny area & TSX (all
copper) bullet proving disappointing as good at
penetration but too much energy exiting and
dropping in tracks not working unless base of neck
Skull to be boiled out & proudly hung on the wall.
Old smart ones at times win, but his luck ran out &
## 122 out of 400 down.

7mm-08, 140 grain Barnes TSX.
Been experimenting with all copper bullets & virtually all entry & exit versus no exit for Noslers, etc. I figure if find bullet under skin of opposite side means all the energy used on animal & expect it to drop versus exit, lots blood to trail but trailing takes time & more work than necessary with plenty thorns all over.

Inedible…. Jerky on hoof…& rank smell.
In past we knew a particular deer for 14 yrs & found him dead at a waterhole. At 5-8 he was a large antlered typical & went downhill, left to see how long he’d live.
This guy’s teeth looked worse so just a guess as post-post mature & on remove list but never seen on the hood & rarely on a camera.
this morning by himself being pushed around by 3-4 yo’s looking for does while he just looking for a meal….

And..... the terd head that shot him.... is the main reason I didn't harvest the deer. Had to take him to a confounded Christmas parade, while this buck was prancing around the food plot, in the daylight. Wouldn't trade it for all the rice in China

Maybe the last of the 2021 season, which has been a great one for us: Here's my son with the Sako Deluxe .30-06 he's had since he was 15 and a feral boar on the Rolling Plains of West Texas, December 27, 2021. Taken with a single shot, DRT, at 175 yards.

Love that rifle. Good job on that buck, too!
